SOOO, I bit the bullet yesterday and finally purchased Avastar for the first time. I saw this absolutely precious pose and photoshoot of an infant the other day, and with the recent release of the Lullabeebs avatar, my hands were itching to try this out.
I was able to gain access to the Beta Grid (Aditi) by creating a support ticket with Linden Labs. Actually, they answered incredibly quickly! I was told that it would take about a day to copy my inventories to their Beta servers, but within the day, I was able to log in without a problem. You don't need to be a premium member to request access to the Beta Grid either, so I highly recommend it. If you want to give it a go, you can find out more here.
I'm grateful for it, because you get to upload items without using actual lindens. Given the amount of times I had to tweak the pose since I don't have access to the actual Lullabeebs dev kit, I'd have spent quite a few, haha.
In the end, you have the result seen above. It was fun, and I hope I can do more in the future. I also have the Toddleedoo Dev Kit, so maybe we'll be seeing some sort of mesh creation in the near future? >O>
